The Junior Touch Cup North is a competition for junior players offering an opportunity to showcase talent, develop skills and play with friends. With U12, U14 and U17 Girls’, Boys’ and Mixed Divisions there is something for everyone. Each division games and knockout rounds, so plenty of game time!

About the junior Touch Cup North

  • Junior Touch Cup North is held at the great facilities of:

    Sandal RFC, Standbridge Lane, Sandal Magna, Wakefield, WF2 7DY

    The venue has great marked Touch pitches, bar, catering and changing rooms.

    Sandal RFC is within easy reach of the M1 and M62, making it an ideal location for teams from across the North of England.

  • The event is designed to welcome both new and experienced players. As such, while there will be a number of experienced Touch teams, we welcome less experienced players and teams who might be playing Tournament touch for the first time. No Regional or Representative Touch sides are able to enter the event.

    The events will host a U12, U14 and U17 divisions across boys’, girls’ and mixed categories. Players should be below their chosen age group before September.

    • U12s will be in current Year 7 or below.

    • U14s will be in current Year 9 and below.

    • U17s will be in current Year 12 and below.

    Each division will host pool and knockout (Cup, Bowl, Plate and Shield) stages throughout the day, giving teams a great Touch experience.

  • The event is played to Federation of International Touch (F.I.T.) Rules and is delivered in partnership with England Touch. Benefit from the support and guidance of experienced referees who are committed to ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants.

    Teams of 6-a-side, with a squad of up to 14 players allowed.

    Mixed teams need a minimum of 3 female players on the field at all times.
